Pacheca Bottled Sized Worlds - Boat

In this piece, the river opens in silence. Three figures in a small wooden boat, an oar resting on the water, the bank thick with green, a light crossing the glass like late afternoon. There is something of an impressionist canvas in that suspended moment, the time of an unhurried crossing, a conversation that needs no words. All of it built by hand, in miniature, inside a bottle that fills with water and with memory.

Some worlds fit inside a bottle. That is the idea behind Bottle Sized Worlds, the collection created by Óscar, artist in residence at Pacheca Group, born from one simple, stubborn gesture: to keep within the glass the things that move us.
