It is made from an old vineyard with 35 years old, situated in the heart of the estate where Jaen is exclusively planted. It is one of the most traditional grapes in the Dão region. After finished the fermentation, that occured in a stainless steal vat with controled temperature, the major part of the blend staged in a stainless steal vat and other part staged 12 months in two french oak barrels carefully sellected to highlight the special characteristics from this grape. Jaen originates elegant and smooth wines and requires a special care in its “education” not to change this balance.
